Waste Water Treatment Plants

We have recently constructed a waste water treatment plant for Karratha Airport. This plant was designed with a capacity to cater for 240kL per day of waste water and turn it into water suitable for irrigation. At present when it was commissioned it was operating at 150kL per day. As part of these works we designed and constructed a new recycled water storage area as well as a recycled 4km pipe line to water the garden areas. We also ran lines to the car hire companies so as they can wash down vehicles before returning them to the rental pool.

We also designed and constructed a trash screen to capture metals and plastics for recycling. We believe that this unit was a very bold step with some great forward thinking and was a complete green initiative on behalf of the client definitely getting the tick of approval.

Firedam Civil has also worked on numerous other treatment plants completing mechanical works and in-ground pipe work as well as replacing pump stations, valves and complex pipe work. If we are requested, a full list of these works can be supplied.
