Electrical Work
Firedam Civil PTY/LTD has done numerous projects in the energy sector. Whilst we are not an electrical company, we have had to design and construct kilometres of electrical conduiting for the type of civil works we have constructed from waste water treatment plants, to pump stations to working substations and distribution mains.
Firedam Civil engage the designer where the works require this. As part of the works we mainly take care of all the civil works including conduiting, pits, transformers, switch gear, power pole / light pole installation, cable hauling and supply of all the above. We always contract a sub-contractor to complete the connections, jointing, terminations, testing and any other specialised work that may be required depending on the size and nature of the works. We may also get them to be involved in the design and ordering of control cabinets/electrical cubicles and other detailed parts of the works such as SCADA or telemetry requirements to make sure the works run smoothly.
We try and work with the same electrical sub-contractors at all times as it makes the relationship more valuable and there is a greater understanding of needs. Some of the projects that we have worked on we will now list.
